3 Naval officers dismissed, jailed over theft of Tompolo’s equipment

Three Naval personnel arrested in June, 2018, for stealing wanted ex-militant, Tompolo’s equipment stored at Mieka Jetty in Warri, Delta State, where they were on guard duty, have been dismissed, TheNation reports.
The three personnel; Petty Officer Ekong Samuel, Leading Seaman Elijah Sagwada and Seaman Usman Shuaibu, were subsequently transferred to the Okere prison to continue with a 5-month jail term handed to them by the Navy Court Martial.
