Seyi Shay in a recent interview talks about her debut acting career in a forthcoming movie, “Lara and the Beat”. .

Taking a break from music to feature in the forthcoming movie, she admitted that she feared she might lose her relevance. 

She stated, “To play the movie role, I abandoned my music career for about two months as the hours on set were very long. I couldn’t go to shows neither could I record songs. 

I lost money but I made a great movie. However, I was extremely worried that the break could make me lose my fans but it didn’t. Acting in a movie has added to my profile and brand. When the movie comes out, it will boost my popularity.”
