Exclusive! Verbal War: Majek Fashek’s manager fires back at Charles Novia, calls him a music taut
The on going verbal war between Majek Fashek's music business consultant, Omenka Uzoma and Charles Novia seems to have gotten messier.
It all started in 2016, when Majek claimed Timi Dakolo “stole” his song, ‘Send Down the Rain,’ (an allegation Timi has long denied), and said he would take him to court, so many people had thought the veteran musician was only making empty threats.
Uzoma, who always speaks on his client’s behalf, said that by March, they would begin the lawsuit process to sue Timi Dakolo and Charles Novia for “giving Timi the right to work on the song”.
With this latest development Omenka Uzoma and Charles Novia are boxing themselves real hard in verbal war, with the latter inciting that the former is high on weeds and ''as stupid as whatever he is taking''

What is presently going on between Timi Dakolo and Majek Fashek....?
Well, the news of the court case it stale, the issue at hand is the fact that Timi has presented documents to prove that he made the payment for the song to some hungry men. I don’t know the bunch of hungry people he claimed he paid the N500, 000 to, all I know is that Majek didn’t receive any money. He doesn’t even know who Timi Dakolo is. I want to ask Timi and his crew a question, when someone brings Toyota Camry of 2017 and tells you to buy it for N20, 000, won’t you suspect foul play and do an investigation?
It is a taboo and an insult to Majek’s personality and his brand to sell the song for such an amount. That is a criminal act, Timi should be ashamed to even mention the amount he claimed he bought the song.
The song Send Down The Rain gained popularity worldwide without the use of social media. Even in the USA, if you mention some banks in Nigeria, they are not known but Majek is well known.
Since last year, I have been waiting for Timi Dakolo to come to us to rectify issues, but he has never done that.
He has been feeling pompous and refuses to admit his faults. I repeat, Majek don’t even know him or has ever met him before. Majek said he has no business or dealing with Charles Novia because he didn’t complete the initial arrangements.
Charles Novia accused you of smoking some weeds, how true is that?
I don’t even drink beer not to talk of smoking any weed. I’m sane and in my right senses, i take just water and not ordinary water, but the ones i trust.
Alaba marketers and hustlers are better than Charles Novia and all his claims. To me, he is just a music taut.
They did those deals behind him because they thought, Majek would not survive it. But no one can stop I and I. Let them talk, no one can stop I and I, that’s the title of the song, Majek did for them.
Enough is enough, it is about time everything changed. We need to gain back the respect of Majek . Our lawyers here in Nigeria and those from America are all ready for this battle. We must give back to Majek what rightfully belong to him.
What if they come to you to rectify issues out of court?
The thing is I don’t have a grudge with Timi, they should have passed through the normal process, but they did not. They have presented themselves as criminals because that is copyright infringement. The channel they came through is wrong.
This same Charles Novia, I have read a lot of his write-ups and that of Azuka Jebose, I have been watching and trying to understand them.
We are still on, we would find ourselves in court. That N100M, is just the beginning. People are saying, he was just trying to help Majek, please can you people kindly ask Timi, if he has ever called Majek’s phone numbers or been to his house. We all shall meet in court next month.
